Every FOFUS product states its material on the product page. This guide explains why each material exists, where it shines, and how to care for it — so you can choose with confidence on custom orders too.

PLA

Default for 95% of the storeFrom ₹2.50/g on custom quotes

Polylactic Acid — plant-derived bioplastic

Best for
Decor, idols, jewellery, toys, desk accessories, display pieces
Why
The sharpest surface detail and widest colour choice. Rigid, dimensionally stable, and finished beautifully by hand.
Care
Keep out of hot cars and direct heaters — PLA softens near 60°C. Indoor use is its home.

PETG

When it must surviveFrom ₹3.50/g on custom quotes

Glycol-modified PET

Best for
Brackets, outdoor-adjacent items, kitchen-adjacent organisers, functional parts
Why
Tougher and more temperature-tolerant than PLA, with a slight flex that resists cracking. Slightly glossier surface.
Care
Handles up to ~80°C. Washable; avoid boiling water.

ABS / ASA

Engineering gradePriced per job — quote the file

Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene / ASA

Best for
Automotive-adjacent parts, outdoor fixtures, snap-fit components
Why
Engineering-grade toughness and heat resistance; ASA adds UV stability for outdoor life.
Care
Handles ~95°C. UV-stable (ASA) so it lives outdoors happily.

Finish & quality

What every order goes through

Layer heights from 0.08–0.28mm

Fine (0.08–0.12) for jewellery & figurines; standard (0.2–0.28) for functional parts — chosen per product, not per batch.

Hand finishing

Support removal, seam cleanup and surface checks happen before any order is boxed.

Colour matching

Solid colours across the catalogue; multi-part prints are colour-matched per assembly.

Quality gate

Dimensions, layer quality and fit are checked on every order — the 7-day replacement warranty sits behind this gate.
